Effective date: October 5, 2026

The Biggest Little Farm began with a simple idea: that paying close attention to the living world changes how we live in it. We try to bring that same care to the information you share with us.

This policy explains what information our production team at Farmlore Films, LLC collects through thebiggestlittlefarm.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website, our email newsletters, and any forms you fill out here. It does not cover other sites we link to, including YouTube, where The Biggest Little Farm Series lives; those platforms have their own policies.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to share the farm’s story with you and keep you connected to it.

What you give us directly. When you sign up for our newsletter, contact us, or request curriculum materials, we collect what you enter: usually your name and email address, and sometimes your organization, location, or message.

What’s collected automatically. Like most websites, ours gathers some technical information when you visit: your browser and device type, approximate location based on IP address, the pages you view, and how you arrived here. We also learn whether you open our emails and which links you click, so we can tell what resonates.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Send you newsletters, episode announcements, and news from the farm you’ve asked to receive
  • Respond when you reach out to us
  • Understand how people find and use the site, so we can make it better
  • Keep the site secure and meet our legal obligations

We won’t use your information for anything unrelated without telling you first.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the people and services that help us run things:

  • Service providers who work on our behalf, such as our email platform Brevo, website host Word Press, and analytics provider Google Analytics. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Mission partners. We collaborate with like-minded organizations working on regenerative agriculture and land stewardship. We will only share your contact information with a partner if you clearly opt in to hear from them.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Farmlore, our community, or others.
  • If Farmlore’s business changes hands, such as through a merger or sale, your information may transfer as part of that, under the same protections described here.

Cookies, analytics, and video

Cookies are small files your browser stores so a site can remember you and count visits. We use them to keep the site working properly and to understand how people find and use it. We also use third-party analytics and advertising tools to see how visitors interact with our site, measure how well our marketing is working, and improve our website and communications.

Episodes of The Biggest Little Farm Series are embedded from YouTube, a service provided by Google. When you interact with or play an embedded YouTube video, YouTube may use cookies or similar technologies and collect information about your device and activity in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.

Where possible, we use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode to limit the information YouTube collects before you interact with an embedded video.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as smoothly if you do.

Do Not Track and Global Policy Control.

Some web browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) setting that sends a signal to websites you visit. Because there is not currently a universally accepted standard for responding to DNT signals, our website does not currently respond to them.

Where required by applicable law, we recognize and process supported browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), as a request to opt out of certain uses or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising.

Your choices and rights

Emails. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also write to us at [email protected] and we’ll take you off the list.

Access, correction, and deletion. You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 45 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.

California residents. California law gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to ask us to delete it; to correct it; and to opt out of its sale or sharing. As noted above, we do not sell your information. We will never treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

Shine the Light. California residents may request information about any disclosure of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not share information this way (unless you opt in to hear from a mission partner)

The rest of the essentials

Children. This site is meant for adults, including the teachers and parents who use our curriculum. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Keeping it safe. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and we choose service providers who do the same. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the responsibility seriously.

How long we keep it. We keep your information as long as you’re subscribed or as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it, plus whatever period the law requires. When it’s no longer needed, we delete it.

Changes to this policy. As we grow, this policy may change too. We’ll post updates here with a new effective date, and if the changes are significant, we’ll let subscribers know by email.
